((Remembered just in time... this should give you the basics of what Bo was told. Connection details will be the same as usual. Have fun!))

She walked along the corridor uncertain of where she was. Her companions no longer there ... wait, no they were there, she was not alone. Yes these were her companions, and they had traveled together for so many light years to end here this way on a planet where the most advance form of life had barely learned to stand on two legs and pick up a stick. The fuel stores were insufficient to launch and stores were running low.

Their world had been in peace and prosperity for many centuries following the rejuvinat revolution. Famine, need, poverty had all become less important and finally they had reached for the stars. Perhaps that was how the Outsiders had discovered them, perhaps if they had not expanded things would have been different? At first they sought to bargain, technology for technology ever desirous of rejuvinat based science. When they were refused they descended upon their world as a garalox upon rodentia. Their planet reduced to ruins and a civilisation gone - perhaps forever.

There was nothing left but destruction and they, the last of the People, had fled. Most of their oh so few ships had been destroyed. Perhaps they really were the last? They would never know as there was no leaving this planet. The Superior had instructed them to gather up what they could, they would never survive the cold of this latitude of the planet, too close to the upper pole of a planet too far from its solar orb.

When the light of it surfaced again they were to leave and head to the equatorial regions, if they could. Probes had designated the environment there sufficient to sustain them. All they had left now was hope.

"Hope.... no, no..." Bo choked out, and looked around and sat up in the medical bed. As the staff rushed towards her she covered her face with her hand. "Lord help us, we weren't the first."

Session 26

+750xp for full-party IC posting.
+500xp to Vic, Stan, and Jesse for critical successes on skill rolls.

Bo will be recovering in the infirmary until her guiding spirit returns from vacation. :)

Since there were some long wish lists this week I ranked the projects based on the number of mentions in your posts, resolving ties using your priority lists.

* * *

Everyone on the Avenger feels a sense of anticipation from the sheer impact of the revelations from the alien blacksite. But the members of Alpha Team know that it may be some time before you can put what you have learned to use in the war against the alien occupation.

FROM: LILY SHEN, X-COM ENGINNERING LEAD
TO: MEMBERS, PLANNING COMMITTEE
CC: CENTRAL
RE: Research/Manufacturing Progress Report, Week Ending October 4, 2035

Guess I’m doing this week’s update, since Doc Tygan has locked himself in the lab working on that data you recovered from the ADVENT blacksite. Just when you thought that our enemies couldn’t be any worse…

Manufacturing is moving along at a breezy clip, and our study of the alien specimens has opened up a few new avenues of research that could help us a lot in the future. That MEC you guys took apart is giving me ideas for how we could improve our GREMLIN drones, for instance.

We do have a problem, though—add it to the list, right? Anyway, we finished up another one of the Spider Suits, but we’re almost completely out of the raw materials needed to build more armors. It’s not like we can just rip a plate off the Avenger and bend it into a breastplate. I have a few ideas but will take them to Tactical so you can have a better idea of where we stand. I’m sure that when Tygan gets out of seclusion he’ll have a few errands for you to run as well.

Base rolls:
X-COM Research Capacity (3d10+2): rolls 4, 3, 1, +2 (Darius Singh) (5/5 points in Data Decryption [completed], 10/10 in Magnetic Rifle [completed, prototype available], 10/10 in Viper Autopsy [completed], 5/15 in Nanoscale Vest, 5/15 in Arc Blade, 5/10 in Shard Gun, 5/5 in MEC Breakdown [completed]).

  • Daud: +8 vs. DC15 on Shard Gun, roll 10 (Success). +1 to project.
  • Stan: +16 vs. DC15 on MEC Breakdown, roll 17 (Critical Success). +3 to project. +500xp.
  • Jesse: +18 vs. DC15 on MEC Breakdown, roll 13 (Critical Success). +3 to project (excess carries over to next project). +500xp.
  • Henderson: +11 vs. DC20 on Viper Autopsy [indirect skill], roll 9 (Success). +1 to project.

X-COM Manufacturing Capacity (3d10+3): rolls 7, 4, 10, +1 (Mendoza), +1 (Tieffendahl), +1 (Johnson). (Spider Suit completed, 2 Mag Pistols completed, Electronic Toolkit completed, 2 boxes of Mag Ammunition completed, 3/15 in Defensive Turrets).
  • John: +8 vs. DC15 on Mag Ammunition, roll 11 (Success). Two boxes of ammunition produced.

X-COM Medical Capacity (3d6): rolls 1, 5, 3 (9 new medikits produced this week)

Victor: morale support on Avenger: +11 vs. DC15, roll 18 (Critical Success). Shipboard morale boosted (+2 applied to Research and +1 to Manufacturing).

All Department heads are instructed to desist from pressuring members of the Planning Committee to engage X-COM resources to complete specific projects. Project requests should be submitted to me for distribution through usual channels.

Research Projects

MC costs in this list are for subsequent copies of an item once it is researched. Initial research just uses X-COM Research Capacity.

Base production is 3d10+2 (Singh)

  • Shard Gun. The Shard Gun takes standard shotgun shells and superheats them in a magnetic ignition chamber. The result is a molten spray of burning death. One prototype will be produced when this technology is researched. [5/10 completed, RC10, MC8]
  • Arc Blade. When pure kinetic energy is no longer sufficient in the field, the Arc Blade may prove necessary. It boosts the standard Sword's combat effectiveness with the addition of an electric field, capable of stunning enemies not killed outright. One prototype will be produced when this technology is researched. Special note: bonus granted due to recovery of prototype stun weapon on a previous mission. [5/15 completed, RC15, MC10]
  • Acid Grenade. With a little work, we believe we can reverse engineer the acidic grenade that you recovered from the ADVENT facility, and add it to our production lines. [RC15, MC3/2]
  • Incendiary Grenade. With a little work, we believe we can reverse engineer the incendiary grenade that you recovered from the ADVENT facility, and add it to our production lines. [RC15, MC3/2]
  • Bio Grenade. With a little work, we believe we can reverse engineer the biological grenade that you recovered from the arctic ADVENT facility. This grenade will be harder to manufacture, but is especially deadly against organic targets. [RC15, MC2]
  • Gauss Weapons. With our mastery of ADVENT's core weapon technology, we can now develop specialized weapon systems using the alien technology to improve on power storage and consumption, projectile path fidelity, and penetrative force over greater distances. We may be able to develop a sniper rifle and cannon variant based on our newly learned Magnetic Weapons technology. [RC10]
  • Nanoscale Vest. The Nanoscale vest is a light armor underlay derived from ADVENT armor. This vest can be worn with all X-COM armors to provide additional protection. One prototype will be produced when this technology is researched. [RC5/15, MC10]
  • Predator Armor. Predator armor represents our first foray into new body protection based on alien hybrid materials. This suit of medium armor offers excellent protection against most forms of attack. One prototype will be produced when this technology is researched. [RC15, MC10]
  • Improved Medikit. Doctor Ranma tells us that we can improve our basic medical kits to provide more effective battlefield triage. All current medikit production will be upgraded once this technology is researched. [RC10]
  • Nanomedikit. Our research into the Viper alien has allowed to develop a blueprint for an advanced medikit that can treat a broader range of battlefield symptoms than our standard medical supplies. One prototype will be produced when this technology is researched. [Game Note: this is essentially a one-use Restoration item.] [RC15, MC2]
  • Personal Shield. Our successful autopsy of the ADVENT Shieldbearer has opened up a promising line of inquiry that may allow us to integrate this tech into our own armors. One prototype will be produced when this technology is researched. [RC20, MC10]
  • ADVENT Purifier Autopsy. With a greater understanding of the systems behind the ADVENT Purifier's unusual tolerance of environmental hazards, it will likely be possible to emulate their methods for some use in our own equipment.[RC5]
  • Berserker Autopsy. This unusual specimen is clearly afflicted by some form of extreme muscular hyperthrophy, although how the species came to exist in this state will require a thorough examination. I suspect the research could lead to varying enhancements for our own troops, perhaps even means of intensifying their own thirst for combat. [RC10]
  • Faceless Autopsy. At one time, the Thin Men were the most advanced infiltration units available to the aliens. Now, we face a species capable of mimicking the human form at will. A study of their unique physiology could help us improve our own medical techniques. [RC10]
  • Archon Autopsy. An aesthetically impressive specimen, the hidden horrors of melding organic tissue with the inner workings of a machine are well-disguised here. The unique melee weapon employed by the creature could be of particular interest to our Rangers. [RC10]
  • Elerium. The aliens, and to a lesser extent ADVENT, have long relied on the otherworldly element known as Elerium to power everything from their weapons systems to the UFOs themselves. It may take some time but furthering our understanding of this material could greatly advance our own weapon and armor development projects. [RC15]
  • Psionics. Although we've seen them wielding Psionic powers before, our recent encounters with the aliens have truly shown us how they are able to deftly manipulate the flow of Psionic energy and use it to their advantage. If we were to master it as well as they have, the potential applications in the field would be limitless. [RC20]

Manufacturing Projects

Base production is 3d10+1 (Mendoza) +1 (Tieffendahl) +1 (Johnson)

  • Mag Pistol. The workshop can now manufacture additional copies of the magnetic pistol. [MC5]
  • Magnetic Rifle. The workshop can now manufacture additional copies of the magnetic rifle. [MC8]
  • Magnetic Ammunition. This ammunition can be used in all of our magnetic weaponry. [MC1/2 (one unit of capacity produces two boxes)].
  • GREMLIN Mk.II. Our study of the alien MEC devices has allowed us to improve the durability and combat effectiveness of our GREMLIN drones. The upgrades include the experimental jamming array pioneered by Chief Shen. [MC10]
  • Skulljack. If needed, we can manufacture additional copies of the Skulljack for use during away missions. Doctor Tygan also thinks that we may be able to improve the basic design at some point. [MC10]
  • EXO Suit. This suit of heavy armor provides superior protection, and includes an embedded rocket launcher. [MC15]
  • Spider Suit. This suit of light armor offers improved protection over the basic X-COM Kevlar, and includes a grapple that can be used to access improved tactical positions on the battlefield. [MC10]
  • Additional Medikit Production. We all know that medical supplies are at a premium. We can dedicate a portion of our manufacturing output to augment what Doctor Ranma can put together in Medical each week, but that means a cut in other areas. [Manufacturing Cost: 2/kit]
  • Advanced Surgical Kit. Our medikits are pretty fantastic, but even they can only do so much. This kit, designed for field use, can keep a critically injured team member alive long enough for more substantial medical intervention back on the Avenger. [Game Note: this is a one-use Raise Dead device.] [MC5/kit]
  • Defensive Turrets. Our raid on the alien supply ship highlights our own vulnerability to attack. This upgrade would add a pair of automatic turrets to the exterior of the ship, flanking the exit ramp. [MC3/15]
  • Mundane Toolkits. Chief Shen can produce just about any kind of ordinary toolkit in the workshop. Just let her know what you need and we'll see that it's added to the queue. At Jesse’s request, Engineering Head Shen has begun working on creating lighter versions of the standard equipment kits. [MC varies depending on the tool.]

Remember to get your recommendations in by Friday.

"Well done team!" JD was happy that they managed clear an ADVENT site, retrieved a bunch of stuff most of what other teams would have to pickup and transport away and clear another band of ADVENT who came just as the team was about to depart.

Also they were issued new equipment including a light suit of armour that JD picked. He did not have a chance to try to "jump" but planned to try ASAP.

He also got a mag pistol. He would have to wait to get something better than the X-COM sniper rifle.
A Mag or a Gauss rifle would be fantastic. Mag ammo were going fast so for the time being he would have to make more and not mess it up.

JD also noticed that the production of med kits barely matched the consumption rate something would have to be done a bout that sooner rather than later.

"It would be great if one of you smart people could crack the secret of the Elerium power."

//

JD will work on making (a bunch of) Magnetic Ammunition

Vote:

1. New X-com rifle: Shard Gun (project faster to complete than Gauss weapon)
2. Improved Medikit
3. Elerium

Cat ("g-woman," in Daud's head) was present for their last briefing and it was awkward, but it was more or less what Daud hoped would come from her stowing aboard. He didn't know if he agreed with her latest proposal though. Going back to the old abandoned XCOM HQ seemed like a good way to get caught. Daud had to wonder why they would leave it standing, or unconverted at least. It had to be to catch people coming back just like Cat wanted them to.

Still, it seemed to Daud that if they wanted to keep her around, they would have to find some way to accommodate her request. Daud hoped for all their sakes that they could get a little more information on the facility and what they might be able to expect there.

While he was glad that, for now, they were spared another life or death last minute emergency target,he was also disappointed that the first thing they did wasn't to hijack propaganda station and go live with their footage. It might be reckless, Daud knew that, but people were going into those clinics still. People were disappearing from the streets and ending up a forgotten heap of bones. It kept him up at night, agonizing over the next person who walks into a clinic...

He looked down and realized he'd been working on the shard gun completely on autopilot. This thing was one of the only blueprints he understood enough to do something about. The level of expertise needed for most of their projects these days, well, Daud didn't have that. He was worried he wasn't pulling his weight in this department. Work on this gun helped him get over that. Soon, he was going to need to work on ammo. He just hoped he could make some progress on this thing...

RESEARCH
1. Arc Blade
2. Improved med kits
3. Nanoscale Vest
4. Extras into psionics or elerium
5. Daud will... work on shard gun. +8 craft mech

MANUFACTURING
1. GREMLIN mk2
2. Mag Rifle
3. Spider Suit
4. If there is somehow extra, defensive turrets.

((Votes are, Research-wise, Elerium first, followed by Psionics. Manufacturing-wise, a GREMLIN MK. 2, since we need one for the mission, followed by a Mag Rifle, Spider Suit, and any extra into Med Kits. Work-wise, Henderson will work on the ADVENT Purifier Autopsy with his Concentration of 11.))

Operation 3D Ink Run had gone far better than anyone had expected, heck, they even managed to score an intact and working alien cargo shuttle! The battle wasn't exactly poetry in motion, but none of them were killed or permanently maimed, so a definite success in his books.

Or at least it would be if he was really thinking about that. He had been somewhat lost in thought during the week, all of it caused by that one, almost innocent comment Cat made, "Ah, you know how it is. Mommy and Daddy have to put on a nice face for the kids."

For some reason, it bothered Henderson, but he didn't know why. Obviously he had parents, so that couldn't have been it. Parents... Even if he couldn't exactly... Anyways, that probably wasn't it, no. Must be the kids part, yeah. After all, after what happened to his... his... kids? Did he have... kids? He... didn't have an answer. All he could remember were the experiments... But... did he even really remember them?

He had no answer.

"Things went pretty smoothly, for once," Jesse said, informing Bo of their supply run mission after the fact. "We might get to tear down most of a supply shuttle. Shen's off with her new toys. The old man gave the whole operation a stupid-ass name. You haven't missed too much, I guess."

She paused, eyes heavy with concerns she'd been reluctantly to talk about in front of the others. In front of Central, really.

"She's... attending our meetings, now. That woman, I mean. Catalina. It's her fault you wound up getting your brains fried, but I don't think she really cares. Trying to get us to follow some new lead of hers;, now going back to whatever's left of the old XCOM HQ. Some old cache she buried there, ages ago."

Jesse shook her head and made a sound of disgust. "Don't even know if the place is still standing. And if it's not, whether or not ADVENT's got their claws all over the place. Feels like everyone's eager to trust her, despite that. Like I'm the only one who realises how fast this could all come crumbling down."

((Research: Nanoscale Vests, Shard Gun. We're trying to move every to the second tier of gear, and I figure getting Daud's pet project done gets us there faster as that means we get a free prototype.

Manufacturing: Gremlin upgrade, then as many magnetic rifles as we can handle. Jesse will try to work on the Gremlins; with +18 repair if that's directly applicable, and if not with... +14 manufacturing, I think?))

"... and that was 'We Didn't Start the Fire', by Billy Joel, no idea who he is, but he'll never die, not so long as we're playing his music, here on XCom Radio. And as we wind down here on the Whatever Pre-War Music We've Been Able to Scavenge Hour, Here's a thought for you all to ponder."

"Something that's been doing the rounds lately - maybe you heard it? - is this theory, this possibility, that the Aliens aren't some tiny part of some real big interstellar empire, oh no. That their fleet, dangerous as it is, or was, is all they've, and it dont go into warp speed or anything like that - it takes them a long, long time to get anywhere, same as us."

"And what does that mean? Well, it means they're a gang of raiders, is what, nothing more complicated than that - going from world to world, taking what they want and moving on. Heck, many of the aliens we've seen might just have been the people of other worlds they found, and if we don't win out, it could be that the ADVENT trooper we know will join their ranks as they fly off, as all that's left of humanity."

"But what it also means is, we can beat 'em. You bet we can. If history teaches us anything, it's that the big and old and slow can be toppled by the small and simple seven times out of ten. The small just has to get tough. We've seen the worst of it now, and we ain't broken. We just have to be tougher than the other aliens they've met on their space crime spree. And I know we've got that in us."

"And on that note, time to sign off with an old favourite making an appearance, 'Born to Run', by Bruce Springsteen. Mr. Springsteen, whoever you were, I know where you're comin' from."

***

OOC: On Research, let's hunt that White Whale.

1. Shard Gun
2. Nanoscale Vests
3. Arc Blade
4. Elerium

On Manufacturing, this is pretty good:

1. Mk. 2 GREMLIN
2. Just one Mag Rifle, because...
3. Anything left over on Mag Ammo, we're going to need it if all goes well.

Let's try to inspire with a bit of Persuade+11 and Bruce Springsteen.

FROM: RICHARD TYGAN, X-COM RESEARCH LEAD
TO: MEMBERS, PLANNING COMMITTEE
CC: CENTRAL
RE: Research/Manufacturing Progress Report, Week Ending October 11, 2035

This week is a testament to what we can accomplish with focused effort. While waiting for Doctor Kanem to join us we turned our full focus onto the Elerium project, and can report success. We have been using the alien substance for a while now in the Avenger’s engines, but it has been something of a black box. The completion of this project will allow us to apply it as a power source to a complete new generation of beam weapons and powered armors, among other uses.

I will put together a list of potential projects that utilize this technology. I look forward to seeing what the planning committee decides is our highest priority.

Base rolls:
X-COM Research Capacity (3d10+2): rolls 10, 9, 4, +2 (Darius Singh) (10/10 in Shard Gun [completed, prototype available], 15/15 in Elerium [completed], 11/15 in Nanoscale Vest, 5/15 in Arc Blade, 1/5 on Purifier Autopsy).

  • Daud: +8 vs. DC15 on Shard Gun, roll 3 (No result).
  • Henderson: +11 vs. DC20 on Purifier Autopsy [indirect skill], roll 17 (Success). +1 to project.

X-COM Manufacturing Capacity (3d10+3): rolls 5, 2, 5, +1 (Mendoza), +1 (Tieffendahl), +1 (Johnson). (Gremlin MkII completed, Magnetic Rifle completed, 2 boxes of Mag Ammunition completed, 3/15 in Defensive Turrets).
  • John: +8 vs. DC15 on Mag Ammunition, roll 12 (Success). Two boxes of ammunition produced.
  • Jesse: +18 vs. DC20 on Gremlin MkII, roll 6 (Success). +1 to project.

X-COM Medical Capacity (3d6): rolls 5, 2, 3 (10 new medikits produced this week)

Victor: morale support on Avenger: +11 vs. DC15, roll 17 (Critical Success). Shipboard morale boosted (+1 applied to Research and +2 to Manufacturing).

FYI if direct connect does not work, find VM's server in the MP servers list. It works for me that way.

I was busy during the retaliation mission and didn't catch whether you had managed to recover any of the new alien types (other than the codex).

I'm going to include an upgrade to the Experimental Surgery Kit so it can be used by any class, to avoid the problem of having only one medic in the party. You'll still need to research it.

I'll give the Gremlin Mk.II a gun with unlimited ammo.

I'll make some more bug fixes and upload a new version of the mod to Vanya Mia's Box account.

Research options post to follow.

Doctor Ranma reports that Doctor Kanem is stable but remains comatose. Hopefully she’ll recover soon. We need what’s inside her head.

Firebrand reports that we’ll need to replace an engine on the Skyranger. Chief Shen reports that we have the necessary spares in ship’s stores and it shouldn’t affect our ongoing manufacturing projects.

The new “recruits” that Alpha brought back from the retaliation mission don’t seem to have any usable skills thus far. The ability to answer phones and file TPS reports is not at a premium at the moment. If any department heads need a set of hands, feel free to put them to work. Doctor Ranma reports that neither one has a neural implant.

Doctor Tygan reports that the encrypted hard drive you recovered includes a wealth of information related to ADVENT biological evaluation programs. He believes that we can apply that information to advance our own research. He also hopes that we can integrate some of the components that you recovered into the Avenger's systems, though that may take some time to accomplish.

Research Projects

MC costs in this list are for subsequent copies of an item once it is researched. Initial research just uses X-COM Research Capacity.

You can choose one of the following projects to apply a research credit this week: Experimental Surgical Kit, Bio Grenade, Improved Medikit, Nanomedikit, or any of the pending alien autopsies.

Base production is 3d10+2 (Singh)

  • Powered Armor. Having found various means of integrating the alien materials within designs better suited to our own troops, I think it may be possible to assemble armor made entirely of the recovered alloys and powered by an Elerium cell. This project will unlock additional projects for improved versions of all of the standard armors that have been successfully researched. [RC15]
  • Beam Pistol. Our advances in the area of Elerium technology will allow us to manufacture higher-powered energy weapons. This handgun is the first step, and marks a significant step up from our existing magnetic weaponry. One prototype will be produced when this technology is researched. [RC15, MC10]
  • Experimental Surgical Kit. The medical device that you recovered from the ADVENT research base offers a huge advance to the field of battlefield medicine. Doctor Ranma hopes to be able to duplicate the device, which should be usable by any of our field agents. One prototype will be produced when this technology is researched. [Game Note: this is a one-use Resurrection item, which results in a significantly smaller XP penalty.] [RC15, MC8]

  • Archon Autopsy. An aesthetically impressive specimen, the hidden horrors of melding organic tissue with the inner workings of a machine are well-disguised here. The unique melee weapon employed by the creature could be of particular interest to our Rangers. [RC10]
  • Codex Brain. This mysterious alien appears to be some kind synthesis of mechanical and biological technology. Its “body” is a projection, leaving behind just a transparent shell containing the entity’s brain when that body is destroyed. The device is remarkably resistant to biological or mechanical scans, and we may need a significant upgrade to our facilities before we can unlock all of its secrets. [RC15]

[MC8]
  • Shard Gun. The Shard Gun takes standard shotgun shells and superheats them in a magnetic ignition chamber. The result is a molten spray of burning death.
Chief Shen is working on fixing the ammunition feed problem, and reports that we can now mass-produce these devices as needed for our specialists. [MC5]
[3/15 completed, MC15]
  • Mundane Toolkits. Chief Shen can produce just about any kind of ordinary toolkit in the workshop. Just let her know what you need and we'll see that it's added to the queue. At Jesse’s request, Engineering Head Shen has developed lighter versions of the standard equipment kits. [MC varies depending on the tool. [MC2 each for improved Electronic and Mechanical Toolkits]]

"I told you to be careful, didn't I?" Bo berated Daud. "You never listen, any of you. It's a damn good job Jess found that medical kit or you'd not be here." She snorted and looked over to where the remains of the syringe's contents were oscillating gently in a flask on the orbital shaker.

Her eyes couldn't help but be drawn to the storage unit where the remains of the sectoid's cortex and the implants from various alien 'creations' were stored. The dreams had not gone away. Mostly they were formless images during which she undertook tasks she could not fully recall but some? Some were more ... intense and usually woke her, memories fading just a short while after she woke.

There was nothing useful in them that she could tell, at least not yet. At least not without more work. She had to drag her eyes from the storage unit.

"Congratulations, you've now got something to thank Advent for." She ripped the sticky monitoring pads off Daud's chest, neck and calf none too gently removing a share of body hair with each. "Now get lost, I've work to do. We need more of these before one of you morons manages to do it again."

((Research: Finish the Nanoscale Vest, then Experimental Surgical Kit as a priority, if we are lucky to get overflow then any spare into the Arc Blade. Bo will research the Experimental Surgical Kit, Treat Injury 15.

Manufacturing: Not wedded to a particular choice at the moment however I guess some of us could use better weapons. Though I'm not sure how many, Bo at least could use one so I'd suggest we make at least two Magnetic Rifles. If others with Magnetic Pistols want to trade those out to others that would work too as long as we all get something soon. Happy for that to be shifted to pistols or for others' suggestions to override this if people have better suggestions.))

Two Birds One Stone and a Man Down.

The extraction mission went rather smoothly. Yet the team encountered more strange Aliens. The Doc was taken back injured but alive in time she should recover.

As some may have expected the Aliens did another "kill them all" rampage downtown. The team felt like we had to go save the people. Some were saved, some turned into faceless beings and some large bird like creatures attacked. Very hard to kill. One of us (Daud) suffered critical injuries. The team is now two members down.

On top of that JD was feeling a bit strange. The nightmares were back...

RESEARCH/MANUFACTURING

JD will work on finishing the SHARD GUN prototype (CRAFT MECH 9)

Vote:

1. Shard Gun
2. Improved Medikit
3. Gauss Weapon

DISCLAIMER:

I need to go to another town in a few days and do not know if there is a good internet connection over there. Worse case scenario I will miss the next 2 sessions (20th and 27th). Apologies if I cannot make it.

I think research on the Shard gun was completed last week, it's on the list under Manufacturing. You might want to change your choice?))

Right, you can help build a second one if you want, but the basic tech has already been researched.
